But don’t blame Ramesh for believing the reverse.  He’s in the grip of Palin Fever.

It’s Okay If You’re A Republican

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

Karl Rove explains how a liability for Kaine is a strength for Palin.  Michel Martin was on Bill Maher last night also trying to equate Palin’s experience with Kaine’s.  Here’s my brief response:  Virginia > Alaska AND Richmond > Wasilla.

It’s A Question Of Judgment

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

The Palin pick is looking more and more dubious the more I read about it.  She’s spent less than two years governing a state with a population smaller than many suburban counties (around 670,000).  Before that she was a two-term mayor of a town of about 6,500.  She has no foreign policy experience. She’s currently under investigation by her own state legislature for allegedly firing her Public Safety Commissioner because he refused to fire a state trooper who was embroiled in a divorce and child custody battle with Palin’s sister.  She thinks creationism has a place in science classes taught in public schools.  She doesn’t seem to know much about what’s going on in Iraq at a time when, you know, that’s kind of important.  And this is just scratching the surface, I’m sure.

I’m not sure what McCain is thinking.  Are people going to be comfortable putting this woman one rickety heart beat away from leading the free world?  McCain seems to think they will.

Congratulations, Ted

Just watched the speech.  Loved it.  Immediatetly changed the channel once it was over to avoid having the yammering pundits drive me up a wall by trying to tell me what I just heard.

Keeping Us Safe

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

A man is claiming that cops forcibly ejected him from Yankee Stadium last night for trying to go to the bathroom during “God Bless America”.  It’s such a relief to know that while I’m taking in a game the ever-vigilant NYPD Blue is protecting me from having to witness inadequate displays of patriotism.
